the 2011 Eastern Conference
November 3-6
the National Conference Center - Leesburg, Virginia
Join us for our annual gathering in the East. Separate tracks during the main Conference are augmented by no fewer than ten (!) pre-Conference Workshops and a guided tour of historic mills, numerous special events, great food and a spectacular locale.
Presentations and demonstrations by timber framers and allied professionals will highlight our fun, plus a Beam & Joint Busting Contest, Axe Throwing and much more.
One-stop shopping! Conference and Pre-Conference Registration Fees include meals and lodging. We'll reserve your room.
This facility looks and acts like nowhere we've ever been before. Designed for Xerox by Vincent Kling & Partners, it boasts some impressive green credentials, and an innovative cooling system. Extensive TFG testing reveals that we'll be happy and comfortable, with ample opportunities for refreshment and reflection. Best of all perhaps, it comes at a very attractive price, even more so for couples and families. Do not overlook the fact that conference and pre-conference fees include meals and lodging. This place is kid friendly, has lots of outdoor space, and is but 12 miles from Dulles International Airport (DIA) (accessed by an efficient and very affordable shuttle).
We're concerned about high conference costs, too. A quick look on the internet reveals 4 campgrounds of varying price and review within twenty miles. Average temperature for November is reported as 44.8, frost not unheard of. Link this with our Lunch Only commuter option . . . .
