19th Annual Eastern Conference ReportOctober 31 - November 2, 2003, Le Château Montebello Montebello, Quebec The sold-out Eastern Conference held over Halloween weekend at Le Château Montebello was among the best (if not THE best) conferences the Guild has ever held. The setting in a remarkable log structure, the variety of the presentations, the sold-out attendance that included many new and younger faces in the crowd, and the superlative food combined to make a memorable, fun, and educational gathering. We filled the massive red cedar building, yet we didn't overwhelm the space. The central atrium served as the staging area for the timber frame pavilion constructed in the pre-conference German Framing Workshop, as well as the demonstration of the timber teeter totter that the children constructed in their own discovery workshop, organized by Kimberley Reagan.
