The Guild believes in the essential nature of ethical conduct in all of its operations, from finance to publications to projects. This policy is intended to protect employees and contractors from reprisal for reporting any malfeasance on the part of staff, contractors, sub-contractors or Board.
Our concerns include, but are not limited to:
Finance
Unlawful activities
Actions that damage the TFG's reputation
Any other kind of action of speech deemed seriously improper
Any form of reprisal or harassment will not be tolerated.
Every effort will be made to maintain confidentiality.
Anonymous allegations will not be pursued.
Allegations made in bad faith may result in disciplinary actions, up to and including dismissal.
Serious allegations of contractor or sub-contractor misconduct will be reported to the Executive Director.
Serious allegations of Board misconduct will be reported to the Executive Director.
In every case, the person receive an allegation will immediately:
acknowledge receipt, in writing
report receipt of same to the relevant division, and 'up one level' on the org chart, as appropriate.
Every effort will be made to fully investigate and resolve allegations within 15 days.
Results will be published, consistent with the need for confidentiality negotiated with the complainant.
