- 9500 lb. canon is lowered inch by inch with 2 hydraulic jacks onto its new carriage. Dave Richardson with the park took on this task. It took about two hours to complete.
- Dave Richardson's first try on breaking the champagne ricocheted off the canon but the second try worked.
- The Citadel cadets fire their reproduction canon.
