In conjunction with Gould Farm's 90th Anniversary Celebration, there also was a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Barn Dedication held on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, in Monterey, Mass. The barn, which was cut and raised by numerous Guild and community volunteers over a two-week period in July 2000, is being used as a harvest barn and meeting house and contains a commercial kitchen, where guests harvest vegetables and make and package the array of products the farm sells: mint tea, maple syrup, salad dressings, and cheese. Among the attendees at the ceremony who made the project happen were Executive Directors Joel McCarty and Will Beemer, Crew leader Alicia Hammarlund, volunteers and workers Russell Ley and Brian Wormington, and former Gould Farm Executive Director Brian Snyder and his family. The day's events included barn tours, hayrides, apple cider demonstrations, music, and delicious food prepared and served by members of the Gould Farm community. Below are some exterior shots of the barn. Here is a slide show of the day's events: ![]() ![]()
