  Left: Scott Northcott of Northcott Wood Turning, who donated the pegs for this project, attends his first raising since 1975. Timberframer and Project GC Phil Newey holds his younger son. Right: Maryanne Magann of North Carolina records the inscriptions on each of the many pegs signed by donors and project volunteers. 
Scott demonstrates a shaker peg making machine in one of the tents at the site.  
Left: Norm Hicks, who donated some very long pine timbers for the plates and continuous tie-beams that allows the traditional frame pattern (of continuous tie beams) possible. Right: Laurie Macrae of Lexington, VA, leads a team of beam carriers. 
The beams are floor joists, fed to the workers who attach the joists to support the 2nd story floor.
