Join us in Virginia to support the Orange Baptist Church this September 13-25 at a Community Building Project to build a new pavilion at their soccer fields.
The structure is a 7-bay aisled barn style, 31’ wide in the nave with 14’ aisles and 105’ x 60’ overall. It has king post trusses and a porch dormer at the entrance. For this project, we will cut the frame at the building site with camping and all amenities on hand. There will be evening educational presentations on a range of timber framing topics, and possibly some local sightseeing and exploration. The Guild seeks one project manager and six instructors, as well as 42 volunteers, for this two-week project. The deadline for the leadership team is July 3, and the deadline for volunteer applicants is July 18.
