The work is 80% shop fabrication in Bellingham, WA, and 20% install on sites from California to Alaska and Hawaii. 

Cascade Joinery, LLC is a Bellingham-owned timber framing company dedicated to bringing the highest quality timber work and executing our client's vision with professionalism and precision. We have an immediate need for an entry-level apprentice joiner position at our Bellingham fabrication shop.

Job Purpose:
Under the direction of more senior team members, the apprentice joiner fabricates, assembles, and installs timber components, following blueprints, drawings, and verbal instruction—frequent use of power tools, hand tools, and other equipment.

Necessary Skills:
• Basic measuring skills with a tape measure
• Basic shop math
- Basic multiplication and division.
- Add and subtract inches, feet, and using fractions
- Convert fractions and decimals interchangeably
- Understand roof pitches in rise, run, and degrees
• Basic use of framing square
• Use of drill and circular saw
• Basic print reading: shop drawings & architectural drawings
- Understand the concept of 2-D drawings.
- Understand drawing keys, sections, and elevations.
- Ability to locate each piece on the drawing.
