Territory Sales Manager Wanted:


Premier Building Systems, manufacturer of the most awarded brand of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) and known for its high-performance building envelopes, is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to continue Premier’s growth in its Oregon and Eastern/Southwest Washington markets. This is an established market near Premier’s manufacturing plant, located in Puyallup, Washington. Due to the increasingly stringent energy code requirements, SIPs are becoming more and more recognized as both a commercial and residential solution to reduce a building’s carbon footprint demands while improving the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and comfort within the structure. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, comfortable developing strong relationships, and communicating, both in writing and verbally, with a variety of key influencers, including, builders, architects, code officials and building owners. Candidate should be comfortable researching and qualifying new prospective customers and will be expected to make ‘cold-calls’. Effective organizational, time management and follow through skills are essential. Consultative sales techniques have been proven most effective in the SIP industry. Responsibilities include; developing and executing a sales plan to increase both residential and commercial sales. Activities include regular travel within the territory (est. 40%-60% of time), educating influencers through lunch and learn training events as well as attending local trade shows and association events, presenting bids and assisting with job starts. Sales managers are supported internally by a team of project managers and drafters, who will manage the project once secured, as well as an initial list of prospective customers and influencers who have already been called on. Tools will be provided including a vehicle allowance, laptop and company credit card. Key Responsibilities of the Territory Sales Manager: • Generate leads and prospects while building relationships in target markets. • Establish strong relationships with architects and builders in target markets. • Interaction with associations including local HBA’s and AIA’s. • Acting as a solution provider to maintain and enhance existing relationships • Provide technical expertise to clients regarding SIP construction methods and processes. • Achieve established sales quotas. • Develop successful proposals. • Manage prospects through a CRM tool • Nurture seamless working relationship with the internal production team and support groups. • Enhance the company’s reputation by focusing on exceptional service and extraordinary quality. What the successful Territory Sales Manager candidate will have: • Highly organized, self-starter, committed to follow through • A proven record in consultative sales, recognized as a problem-solver • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • 4+ years of sales experience in the building industry, preferably in a construction role • Proficiency with Word, Excel and ability to read and understand architectural drawings • Broad technical understanding of construction methods and processes. • Interest in high-performance construction methods • Work history with evidence of long-term employment and commitment • Positive attitude, industrious, ambitious with a strong work ethic Company Background This is an opportunity to be a leader with an established, dynamic company.
