We’re New Energy Works, a high-quality, custom timber frame shop in McMinnville, Oregon. We’ve been in business on the west coast for 12 years, while our sister shop has been operating in western NY for 30. Carrying on the rich tradition of heavy timber construction into the 21st century, while balancing craft and technology, we are employee owned, and follow the triple bottom line, putting equal emphasis on People, Planet, and Profit.
Right now we are in need.
In need of shop lead who understands a lot…
• a lot about wood
• a lot about people
• a lot about efficiencies and production deadlines
• basically, a lot about life
We are looking for a detail-oriented team leader with vision and management skills to motivate and lead others to success. Experience as a leader is a must. You’ll be working with a crew of seasoned woodworkers and craftspeople at our McMinnville shop, where you’ll be responsible for day-to-day operations and visioning for the future, while working 1 on 1 and in a group to build team cohesiveness and maximize critical thinking. This is a hands-on position with the opportunity to travel locally and nationally. Ideally, you’ll be familiar with the construction process or have first-hand experience in manufacturing, specifically of products for the built world.
We offer a full-time position with a benefits package including insurance, paid holidays and vacation, 401k, and more. We give to our local and global communities. We truly care about our craftsmen, and they truly care about each project. As employee-owners we are dedicated to the success of our company, our craft, and each other. We appreciate like-minded, hard-working folks with lots of common sense. If that’s you, please submit your RESUME WITH A COVER LETTER detailing your experience and explaining why you’re the ‘right fit’ for our shop leader role. We will not be able to respond to all inquiries.
