Publications

To keep our members informed, the Guild maintains a Facebook page and produces a quarterly technical journal (TIMBER FRAMING), a member magazine (Scantlings), an emailed newsletter (Guild Notes), and an active community discussion group comprised of timber frame enthusiasts from around the globe.

An index to TIMBER FRAMING is updated annually. Explore the index HERE to find articles of interest.

Want to contribute to Scantlings? We are always looking for great articles, feature pieces, and member news. Contact Allison in the Guild office for information about deadlines and content guidelines.

If you are interested in advertising in our publications, please see this rate sheet.

Many Guild publications are available for free download - simply click "Archives" to view and download back issues of Timber Framing and Scantlings. Hard copies of some issues are available for purchase; contact the Guild office to buy one.

For your general information, here is a glossary of timber framing terms.
