Kicking Horse River Bridge

A 50 Meter Pedestrian Bridge

This bridge crosses the Kicking Horse River in southeastern B.C., about 160 miles east of Calgary. The very large pedestrian bridge is now part of Golden's trail system.

Notable aspects
50 m (156 ft.) long. The bridge structure is a modified Howe Trusses and a Burr Arch (from a local glulam plant). Truss cut on a Hundegger.  Five-bent hammer beam truss system w 28-ft. span.
