I come from a unique background combining a formal education in traditional building, stereotomy, CAD drafting, and extensive hands-on experience in the construction industry. I am a classically trained timber framer, mentored by a member of the Compagnon du Devoir from France while attending the American College of the Building Arts.
Over the years I've traveled throughout the U.S. and abroad, honing my skills as a draftsman, carpenter, estimator, engineer, and project manager. Throughout this process I have always strived to find creative, cost-effective solutions to clients' most complex challenges.
I am committed to helping clients achieve their vision. My greatest satisfaction stems from balancing the artistry of custom construction, while also observing the minute technical details required to make it a reality, all while bearing budget in mind.
CAD Atelier specializes in providing high quality building information modeling (BIM) to clients, contractors, architects, and engineers. True BIM modeling is much more valuable than "renderings," since it provides actionable information and data for all stakeholders. Services include 3D model generation, optimized material lists, and automated construction documents (CDs) for review before and during construction. This can be applied to all trades, including framers, stair builders, and MEP trades just to name a few.
My goal is to streamline the construction process, reduce material waste, and help clients make informed decisions early on to help meet schedule deadlines and avoid potentially costly oversights or conflicts. Labor and materials are not getting any cheaper after all.
CAD Atelier offers fast turnaround times, informative 3D models that can be easily reviewed by all stakeholders, and actionable information for builders and trades to estimate off of and build to. Our service can be utilized for both new construction and renovations.
