Located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in Queensbury, NY, Mead Lumber Co Inc. is a third-generation, family-owned sawmill specializing in high-quality Eastern White Pine timbers since 1975. In 2019, we installed a Cleereman Lumber Pro, allowing us to readily produce timbers up to 30 feet in length. We are dedicated to serving the post and beam, and timber frame industries with top notch material and exceptional customer service.We source our logs locally, working with trusted private contractors within a 50-mile radius to ensure sustainable and superior materials. At Mead Lumber, we pride ourselves on upholding the values and traditions established by our founder while continuously improving our products and services to meet the evolving needs of timber framers. Whether it's long-length timbers for large structures or just a few beams for a decrotave entryway, our commitment to quality is at the heart of everything we do.
Custom Milling: We specialize in milling high-quality Eastern White Pine, providing timbers in various sizes, including long-length beams up to 40 feet. Our advanced milling equipment ensures precision cuts tailored to your project specifications. But we can also plane your timbers you ship into us.
Kiln-Dried Timbers: We offer kiln-dried 8x8's for D-log timbers for log home builders, providing a cost-effective option for those looking to build their own log homes. Our kiln-dried timbers are well-suited for structural integrity and longevity in your build. We can also custom dry if the job is big enough.
Log Unloading Services: To support local log suppliers, we provide log unloading at our mill for a nominal fee, helping streamline deliveries and supporting sustainable forestry practices in the region.
Wholesale Timber Supply: We primarily serve wholesale customers in the post and beam and timber frame industry. Our timbers are perfect for large-scale projects, offering both durability and aesthetic appeal for barns, homes, and commercial structures.
Sourcing Locally: Our logs are sourced from private contractors within a 50-mile radius, ensuring we support local forestry and maintain a steady supply of the finest Eastern White Pine available in the Adirondacks region.
