Wood Stabilization (KunEun)
Stabilizing wood material equal to drying wood is common knowledge in any woodworking industry. Daizen has applied a patent to dimensional stabilizing technology that dry equal stable wood is not the only method to stabilize the material. Through this innovation, Dai found the material preparation is in line with treatment to achieve the best result. It starts from understanding how the tree grows and stress is built, and how it releases and what happens. This fundamental knowledge will help for any method of material preparation. For woodworkers, this session should help to understand how the wood reacts in vertical grain or flat grain, boxed or free of heart.
