Guild Rendezvous: Muskoka

Registration Open!

Join us at Hillier Timberworks in Huntsville, Ontario, for a fun weekend of all things timber frame!

Here's what you can expect!

Throughout the Weekend (25th to 27th)

Timber Framing

- Bring your chisel, or use one of ours, to help create a 16’ heavy timber picnic table from beautiful white oak donated by Dorval Timber. Try out some demo tools from our sponsors to build a set of timber framed sawhorses you can take home with you. Fir and pine timber donated by Muskoka Timber Mills. No experience is necessary, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn and share what you know.

Timber Olympics + Axe Throwing + Hewing

- Limber up for some friendly competition. STUMP, axe throwing, and some other timber games will be happening throughout the weekend. If you have some extra energy left there will be logs available to hew all weekend.

Ice Cream and Beer (NA)

- Ice cream (a lot) donated by Kawartha Dairy and Belly’s Ice Cream will be available all weekend long as well as a fridge full of non-alcoholic beverages donated by Sober Carpenter.

Attendee Project Slide Show

- We will have a slideshow of folks' projects rolling all weekend. Email 1-4 photos of things you have created (does not need to be a timber frame) to Jack at bukichjack@gmail.com

Sticker Swap

- Bring your company, or other stickers to trade. Who doesn’t like stickers and there will be plenty of Guild and Event stickers available to put on your bumpers and water bottles.

Sponsorship Opportunities

In 2026, members of the Timber Framers Guild will gather across North America for regional events: casual weekend celebrations of timber framing where we work and learn together, share stories of life and our craft, and build a small project to share with a community organization.

We invite sponsors to join us in bringing these invaluable community events to life. Our sponsors are recognized across our social media, on our website, and in event outreach and materials. Whether you donate materials, space, or meals, or support these events financially, your contribution is deeply appreciated by the members volunteering their time to develop these Guild Rendezvous.
