Ariel Burns has been finding a home in the building world since her introduction to it in 2012, while living in the mountains of North Carolina. She has explored the different realms of construction: backyard DIY natural building, home renovations, high-performance & green building, general carpentry, and traditional timber framing.
She often works alongside long-time mentor & colleague Liz Johndrow of Earthen Endeavors to produce high-quality natural plaster services.
In 2016, Ariel landed herself at a sawmill-based timber frame shop in Lisbon, Maine. She has since fallen in love with the craft and is now co-owner of Maine Heritage Timber Frames.
