Western Rendezvous

Join us in Ashland, Oregon, May 30-June 1 for a weekend of timber framing, stories around the campfire, and more!

We will be fabricating and raising a "40 for 40" frame during the event, to be donated to the Jackson County Fuel Committee, which is a volunteer organization dedicated to addressing the disparity between the lack of access to heating and energy resources for thousands of low-income workers and families and the abundance of such resources in the area.

Friday, May 30

12 p.m. - check-in open

2-5 p.m. - Joinery & Layout Theory

6 p.m. - Dinner

7 p.m. - Bring your instruments for a jam session!

Saturday, May 31

7:30 a.m. - Breakfast

Morning:

• Band saw mill demonstration
• Cross-cut saw sharpening demonstration with Kieran Taylor
• Sharpening with Yann Giguere
• Matt Hunter on Greene and Greene finishing techniques
• Prescribed burning forestry management in the West with the Southern Oregon Prescribed Burn Association

12 p.m. - Lunch

Afternoon: Cutting theory and cutting the frame

6 p.m. - Dinner

Evening: Live Music with Jason Dea West and Darien Lane.

Sunday, June 1

8 a.m. - Breakfast

Morning: Raise the frame!

12 p.m. - Begin saying our goodbyes
