The Guild has received a grant to facilitate the launch of a new Train-the-Trainer program for Community Building Project instructors and managers.
These training sessions will introduce our instructors to foundational teaching theory tailored to the skilled trades. By learning how to identify skill levels, recognize learning styles, and match novices with appropriate tasks and training pathways, instructors will be better equipped to guide emerging craftspeople toward successful placement in preservation-related careers.
Under this generous grant from the Historic Preservation Education Foundation, we will develop materials and training modules and deliver three two-day seminars. We encourage both current and aspiring Community Building Project instructors to consider attending!
