Framing On the Clumps

New, from our colleagues in the U.K. Carpenters Fellowship.

In 2005, an international team of timber framers assembled in the pastoral countryside of middle England to cut and raise a complex office building to house the Northmoor Trust administration.

This was an ambitious project, square-ruled from Doug Fir logs grown and fresh-sawn on Trust property, laid out, and cheerfully cut by a truly international crew, but not without major head-scratching and teachable moments.

This is a very well made and entertaining video of that event, by James Hutchings, produced by N. Guiver and C. Hollebon.

Curious and amusing bonus material.
