2025 Timber Framers Guild Conference

Paul Jensen

My experience working on Historic Structures began with the NPS at North Cascades in the 90's working on Lookouts and Backcountry Cabins. I worked the the Historic Preservation Center in Frederick, Md. for 12 years and the Western Center for Historic Preservation for 4 years. Our duties at both places included traveling all over the country to work on Historic Structures as well as local projects. Particular emphasis will be on replacing components of the structure in place by jacking, lifting and reinforcing the surrounding structural elements around the replacement piece, repairing existing members with Dutchman repairs as wells as lifting and moving entire structures including barns and corn cribs. I retired with 25 years of experience working on Historic Structures.
