Arrow Timber Framing operates from the starting point of getting the timber design that you love, before the first timber cut is made. With expert timber artisans and a highly competent design team, Arrow Timber has produced a portfolio of beautiful hybrid timber frame homes, outdoor structures and pavilions, as well as timber signs and timber frame house plans.
The design sessions start with a Brainstorm and work their way through a 3D modeled design - that can be viewed as a walk-through. From there you can make decisions about sizing and placement - it's a beautiful process! Once you've achieved what you're wanting to see - you'll know it. Then, when it's built, you'll be amazed seeing it in real life.
The Timber Craftsmanship
Arrow Timber employs traditional housed peg joinery, as well as custom metal bracketry. Premium, free-of-heart-center (fohc) timbers are selected from Washington State as well as imported/reclaimed timbers.
The Book
The owner of Arrow Timber, Bert Sarkkinen - has written a book about Timber Framing called "The Art of Hybrid Timber Framing" that delves deep into getting what you want, and working through design and preparation for your timber project.
