KidsBuild: TimberFest 2023

Join us for KidsBuild during TimberFest weekend!

Guild member Mike Westgard is preparing to lead a special KidsBuild at this year's TimberFest in Sandpoint, Idaho. For two days, local kids and the children of Guild members and friends will have the opportunity to connect over a sawhorse while they learn about woodcraft and timber framing.

For younger children, Mike is planning for two one-day KidsBuild sessions; for older children, he's looking forward to hosting a two-day session with a single, larger project.

We have three opportunities for children to connect and discover a shared interest in woodworking and timber framing:

• Saturday, June 10, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.: Children ranging from age 8-12 will join Guild timber framers and volunteers from Kaniksu Folk School to craft a picnic table or bench. (Limited to 18 children)
• Sunday, June 11, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.: Children ranging from age 8-12 will join Guild timber framers and volunteers from Kaniksu Folk School to craft a picnic table or bench. (Limited to 18 children)
• Saturday, June 10, & Sunday, June 11, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.: Six teenagers (ages 13-18) will take part in a unique timber framing project, crafting a gateway for Pine Street Woods.
