Skilled Log Builder Needed for Demonstration in IL

Looking for Skilled Log Builder for demonstration at MOMCC Fall Conference

Firmitas LLC (www.firmitastimber.com) is looking for an experienced historic carpenter who would enjoy demonstrating half dovetail log cabin construction techniques, as well as scarf jointing in replacement pieces. 

We need a talented craftsman to join us at the MOMCC Fall Conference (https://momcc.org/Institutional-Member-Events) near Lerna, Illinois where Rick Collins (Structural Timber Expert) will be hosting a workshop on Log Building Maintenance and Repair. The job involves confidently showing an audience different log notching methods, with hand and power tools, and performing specific cuts, including 2 scarf joints and 8 half dovetails.

They will also be assisting Rick with the log cabin repair as needed.

This is a paid gig and a genuinely great chance to attend a fun conference centered around craft and community! The job is two full days (Wednesday, Nov. 5th prep, Thursday, Nov. 6th demonstration).
